Headed to Kamareddy for a state-level yoga competition, our CAPS (on average 10 years old) arrived at the train station an hour and a half before departure. With time to spare, they began exploring the station, guided by their yoga teacher, who explained various aspects of how the station operated.
During their walk, the CAPS noticed that two drinking water taps were leaking. Instead of ignoring it, they took immediate action and informed the station manager. He quickly took action, notifying the appropriate staff to address the issue and implement a temporary measure of tying cloth around the taps.
But the CAPS didn’t stop there. Impressed by the station manager’s prompt response, the children decided to write a letter of gratitude to him. When the station manager received the letter, he was pleasantly surprised and touched.
This thoughtful, proactive gesture by the CAPS demonstrated that they carry their values of gratitude, responsibility, and community care wherever they go - turning a simple wait at a railway platform into a meaningful act of water conservation.
