The children raised here are now busy professionals in diverse fields, but they remain inseparable, always looking out for one another.
Two siblings from our program recently faced a devastating loss when their father, their only parent, passed away. Beyond the immediate grief, they were confronted with a difficult dilemma. The siblings were originally from Bihar but now settled in Hyderabad, and the cost of transporting their father’s body back home was very high. They were unsure where to conduct the funeral rituals.
In true family spirit, the CAPS (Child Adoption Program Students) immediately stepped in to support them. Ultimately, the decision was made to perform the burial in Hyderabad. The CAPS stood by the siblings every step of the way and took on full responsibility—helping with all arrangements, accompanying them to the burial site, and ready to assist with anything needed.
Their reassuring presence continued past the initial ceremony. The next morning, they went along with the siblings to collect the ashes. They also booked train tickets for the siblings to visit Bihar, so they could take their father’s ashes home and spend time with their relatives. They accompanied the siblings to the station, ensuring they were settled before the long journey.
The CAPS provided both practical support and emotional strength, showing one another that they are always there for each other.
